November 2025 Happenings

November was spent RECUPERATING!  A massive surgery like Jac went through is not something you bounce back from in weeks.  Jac made fantastic progress....but it was slower than he'd like.  And he's bummed!  However, I'm really proud of him, and so excited about what this means for our future together! :)

Since he was still rebuilding from the surgery, November was another chill month without a lot happening.  We did manage to go to St. George for the Thanksgiving holiday, and we did a few other things, like...

Wild West date
After a week of watching western movies, we capped it off with an American Frontier/Wild West date, complete with decor:

and authentic drinks popular during the Wild West era:

We dressed up, of course:

And Jac made a very Wild West grilled dinner:

(Side note: Here's the kitchen window from the outside, so basically what the neighbors saw!  They must think we are so weird, lol.  They're not wrong, haha.)

Here's a shot of the final meal.  SOOO Western, SOOO delicious!

It was a fun night. I love my good sport husband!

Other fun little things

"Where's Betsy?"
One of my former students game me a "funko pop"-- a little doll that she made to look just like me (glasses, ponytail, gardening pail in hand, cats on the ground near me, long sweater, t-shirt, jeans and tennis shoes.....she nailed it!)  Ever since she gave it to me last summer, Jac has been hiding it in various places throughout the house (without telling me each time) and I get to stumble across it in time. So fun!!!

England Double Decker Bus
We finally made the double decker bus that I ordered to do during our England month (back in April!)  It was a fun, fairly quick project ( 2-3 hrs total.)

Bagels!
And Jac made bagels! What can't he make?
