For April's adventure, we headed for a quick weekend getaway to Bryce Canyon. We stayed at a cute little cabin:
...which was the perfect chance for Jac to try out his cooking plan (propane stove, newly stocked cooking kit, etc)
including these delicious breakfasts:
Bryce National Park was stunning! Here's Bryce Amphitheater at Sunset Point:
We drove the length of the park to the super high, super FREEZING Rainbow Point:
...and then drove the length back, stopping at various overlooks along the way:
Next, we hiked part of the Mossy Cave trail:
Then, after a quick lunch back at the cabin, we headed to nearby Escalante Petrified Forest State Park. Here's Jac checking out an enormous petrified log:
And here are a few smaller pieces. Overall, it was kinda meh (but Jac did get a cool walking stick).
To cap off the day, we drove a bit of the beautiful scenic Highway 12 through Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument:
Overall...a very short but memorable trip! :)
