February 2023 Happenings

Valentine's Day
For our second Valentine's Day, I attempted to send 12 hand-drawn cards to Jac at work -- one per day for 12 days, a la "the 12 Days of Valentines." Sounds cute, right?  Nope, it was a FAIL!  Half got returned "address unknown" and the rest did show up, but kinda just sporadically over the following week. Oh well, in the end Jac did get them all. And he liked them. :)

Jac, on the other hand, got me these ADORABLE pillowcase covers:

and a LOVE themed puzzle, which we started together on Valentine's Day night. :)

Super Bowl
In February we also watched the Super Bowl together -- and it was my first time ever.  Jac made this quintessential Super Bowl food, which added to the fun.  Although...I got a positive covid test just as it was starting, so perhaps I was a little distracted. But it was fun nonetheless.

Cooking for My Mom
With my dad in the hospital and then at a rehab, my mom had a lot on her plate.  So, sweet Jac cooked her a ton of delicious food so that deciding what to eat for dinner each night would be one less thing to worry about. Awwww!

Get Together with My Family
Virginia came to town to see dad in the rehab, and we all got to spend a fun weekend together!  One night we got together for dinner and a rowdy game of Yaatzee!

We were Kenyans!
We 'traveled' to Kenya in February, and Quinn and Holly joined us! You can read about it by clicking here.

Snow Days!
It has snowed A LOT this winter, and in February, one particular storm dumped almost 2 feet of snow!  I had two "Snow Days" for school (yea!), and Jac had one forced snow day, since he was trapped at home and couldn't even get out of his driveway to drive to work. That was A LOT of snow!
