No Big Adventure in November
Our
"one-adventure-a-month" streak is broken...and that's okay. :) An
adventure just didn't make sense for us this month, but we'll be back on it in December!
Instead...
In November, we hung out close to home. We ate well, of course, including:
Jac worked his magic and SOLVED my McDonalds breakfast habit with his very own invention. His DELICIOUS filled biscuits are the perfect substitution for my "beloved" sausage biscuit. Warm, a little sweet, a little savory, easy to prep in the morning...perfect!
Jac's meal prep factory also kicked out several dozen healthy, yummy meals for our lunches. So lucky!
Thanksgiving with my family
At the end of the month, we celebrated Thanksgiving at my parents. "We" made and brought a number of different appetizers like:
And Jac also made the turkey, stuffing, cranberry relish, and peas and carrots. Socks. Blown. Off.
AND...Super Exciting Additions
At the very tail end of the month, I got a new couch AND a new stove. Both were long overdue (especially a replacement for the barely working, 50 year old stove!)
The verdict: the look of the couch is not perfect, but we're getting used to it. What IS perfect--having all that room to spread out on the couch at the same time!
(Pretend not to see that big odd white chunk of wall behind the couches. After a decade of blue walls, I wanted to see if I should paint the walls white. I should not. Time to paint it blue again.)
I was worried the cats would be weirded out by the new additions, but they LOVE it. We can't get the little guys off the new couch. :)
Also new: this shiny, sexy new stove. Jac is happy! He has FUEGO!
And then we celebrated the arrival of the couch by curling up on it to watch a movie (on our new TV.) We are so fancy!
This happened. Goodbye ol buddy. You were loved. Thanks for more than a decade of dedicated service.
